Katherine L. Bosma Hultquist, 68 of Grand Forks, North Dakota died Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at Valley Senior Living, Grand Forks, North Dakota.

Kathy was born the daughter of Alvin and Olga (Price) Bosma on March 20, 1955, in Grand Forks. She was raised and educated in Grand Forks, graduating from Red River High School. Kathy started to work for the North Dakota Highway Department shortly after high school. She married Timothy Hultquist of the United States Air Force on May 26, 1979, and they made their home in Grand Forks. After their son, Bryon was born, Kathy became a stay-at-home mom. 

Kathy and Tim would later divorce. She worked at Developmental Homes, Clayburgh Dentistry and Spicer Trucking in Grand Forks. She switched to part time work shortly after her cancer diagnosis and eventually retired. 

Kathy enjoyed cross stitching, going to the lake place on Maple Lake, listening to sermons, watching religious television programs, and family reunions. She loved motorcycle rides and visiting her friends and family in her beloved Jeep Liberty. Kathy loved children and sending gifts of support to St. Judes Childrens Hospital and St. Labre Indian School in Montana. 

Kathy is survived by her son, Bryon Hultquist; father and stepmother, Alvin and Darlene Bosma; siblings, Larry (Gail) Bosma, Denise (Jason) Kleemeyer, Randy (Toni) Bosma and Michelle Bosma (Jody Clark); numerous nieces and nephews.

Kathy is preceded in death by her grandparents and mother, Olga Bosma.

 Visitation will be held from 10:00 - 11:00 AM Saturday, November 18, 2023, at Amundson Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, November 18, 2023, at Amundson Funeral Home.

The family would like to thank the caregivers at Valley Senior Living Tufte Manor, VSL Columbia Road, and Altru. We would also like to extend our appreciation to our family and friends for their continued support and prayers. God bless you all!
