After graduating from CHS, I went to Hope College for my undergrad degree in biology. After that I came to Cleveland to attend Case Western Reserve University for a masters degree in physical therapy. I started working as a PT at the Cuyahoga County public hospital in 1970. This hospital system has gone through several name changes over the years and is now MetroHealth Medical Center. I retired from MetroHealth in July 2013 after working there for more than 42 years, most of them part-time.
My husband Emil died very suddenly while playing basketball with family members in Seymour school's gym in November 1990.
I'm fortunate to have 3 of my 4 daughters living here in Cleveland.
