I spent four years at Wheaton College to get my education degree. I married Tom Huizingh in June of 1969 and we moved to Grand Haven. I taught fourth grade at Carr Elementary in Muskegon until we started our family. We moved back to Grand Rapids for Tom's job change in 1976 and we've spent the rest of our life there with the exception of summers on Spring Lake for the last 23 years. We also share a family condo on Marco Island, FL where we spend winter vacations.
Tom passed away 2 I/2 years ago after a lengthy struggle with Melanoma, so my life has changed significantly. All 3 of our children live in the GR area now and my life is filled with fun times with 7 grandchildren and many great friends of which there are several from high school days. Life is good!
