I spent 5 years at RPI (working on my undergraduate and masters degree in hydrogeology) where I met my husband Todd (an architect). We were married in 1997 in Lenox, MA and shortly after moved to Boston. I worked for a couple of Land Development firms in Boston and our wonderful twin girls were born in 2000. Not long after the girls were born Todd and I started our own Development company which has been great but a lot of work! We moved to Portsmouth (right outside of Newport) when the girls were three and have just loved it here by the water. Collin was born in 2004 (and I finally got a redhead). Just after Collin was born Todd and I decided to adopt a little boy from Guatemala. It was a long (very long) process that brought us through rural Guatemala but finally in December 2006 (just before he was 1 years old) Tristan came home. We have been so lucky to have gotten to know these great kids and we are enjoying our time in RI so much. |
