Allen Ingram

Rev. Robert Allen Ingram, Jr., 50, of 905 E. Memorial Highway, Harmony, died unexpectedly Friday, May 13, 2011, at Iredell Memorial Hospital.  He was born June 26, 1960, in Guilford County and was a son of Carol Briggs Ingram and the late Robert Allen Ingram, Sr. Rev. Ingram was an Ordained Minister and a member of the Western NC Conference of the United Methodist Church and served as Pastor of Clarksbury United Methodist Church. Prior to entering the ministry, he was formerly an attorney for 18 years.

Allen is survived by his wife, Anita Phillips Ingram whom he married on May 22, 1993; two daughters, Erin and Ann Marie Ingram both of the home; his mother, Carol Briggs Ingram of Greensboro; two brothers, Frank Edward Ingram and his wife, Kim, of Belmont and Jonathan Paul Ingram and his wife, Pam, of Greensboro; a sister, Amy Royal and her husband, Chad, of Mebane; eleven nieces and six nephews.

Funeral services celebrating Rev. Ingram's life will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Monday at Clarksbury United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dr. Mary John Dye officiating. He will lie in state at the church for thirty minutes prior to the service and burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 PM Sunday afternoon in the Ernest M. Troutman Memorial Chapel of the Reavis Funeral Home of Harmony.
