 From Mary Ann (Thies) Smith: From what I've heard, Mike died on August 25, 1999 from complications associated with Diabetes. He's buried near my Mother- and Father-in-law at Forest Lawn Cemetery, so I was able to get the date of his death, but I don't know any other details.
