Douglas Clinton Johnson, 39, from Greensboro, N.C., passed away on December 25, 2009, from a heart attack. Doug was the son of the late Gary C. Johnson of Selma, N.C., and Ilene Costner of Supply, N.C.

He is survived by his mother and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Doug graduated in 1989 from Grimsley High School. He was employed by the consulting firm of Charles River for EPA. Currently, Doug was working for the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in the veterinary department.

Johnson of Selma, N.C., and Ilene Costner of Supply, N.C. He is survived by his mother and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. Doug graduated in 1989 from Grimsley High School. A memorial service is planned for Doug on Saturday, January 16, beginning at 11:00 a.m. at the Proximity United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall on 1200 Vine Street in Greensboro. In addition to a brief memorial service, family and friends will have an opportunity to reflect on Doug's life and to share their stories about how he touched their lives. An additional memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 23, at the St. James Episcopal Church in Shallotte. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to either the American Heart Association , 202 Centerpoint Drive, Greensboro, NC 27409, or to the Autism Society, 4340 East West Hwy., Suite 350, Bethesda, MD 20814-3067.
