A Brown Summit man was killed early Monday morning (April 11, 1988) in a motorcycle wreck north of Greensboro. He was pronounced dead at Moses Cone Hospital after the 12:25am wreck.
Troopers say Squires was travelling south at a high speed when he lost control, ran off the right shoulder of the road and struck a ditch bank about 7 miles north of Greensboro.
Squires was thrown from the motorcycle, sailed across a ditch bed and hit a fence post. Troopers said he had been drinking.
He worked at Teco Printing Co.
