I went to visit Bonnie and her family about 19 years ago in Burlington, Vermont. They were so happy! My old singing buddy...I will miss you, my friend! Julia Fentress McClurg

Hello,

Info for your class reunion website:

Bonnie "Yadonah" Hussey Philips died 6/1/2003 of breast cancer at age 41. She was survived by her husband of 18 years, Lee "Heemin" Philips, and 5 children: Chasidah (16), Ayin (13), Yaqeh (10), Meyasharet (6) and Netuyiah (4).

Bonnie graduated from UNC-Wilmington and married her college sweetheart Lee shortly afterwards. While bicycling in Vermont on their honeymoon, they learned about The Community in Island Pond (part of The Twelve Tribes). Bonnie and Lee joined the Community and she spent her remaining years w/ them. She is buried in Island Pond, VT where she had lived for many years.

If you would like a photo of Bonnie for the class website, just let me know and I'll get one to you.

Thanks!
Gaynell Martin

Bonnie held a gentle soul, was a devoted wife and loving mother of 5 beautiful children. She lived her life honestly, gracefully and generously. Though she chose a life much more modest than most of ours she held the rare gift of never judging anyone for their choices or shortcomings. I visited with her just a few days before her death. She smiled and laughed and reminisced about her long bike rides in high school, her mischievous spirit and her precious children.
