Grady Hooker

Grady Steven Hooker, 21, of McConnell Road died Monday at Moses Cone Hospital following a sudden illness.

Hooker was a lifelong member of St. Matthews United Methodist Church where he served as an acolyte, choir member, and member of the United Methodist Youth Group.  He participated in Little League sports and was a star athlete and honor student at Page High School.  Hooker was a senior at North Carolina A&T State University majoring in mechanical engineering and was a member of the Aggie football team and team fraternity.  He worked as a lifeguard at Peeler Recreation Center.

Survivors are his wife, Raquel B. Hooker; daughter Miss Fallon Yvonne Brown Hooker of Greensboro; parents Mr. and Mrs. Coley Hooker of Greensboro; sister Miss Cheryl Bedia Hooker of Greensboro.

The family will be at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Coley Hooker, Richland Road.

Grady was born on March 3, 1965 and he died on August 18, 1986.
