Reflections of Life

Sunrise: Derick Ray Brown affectionally known as “Delray” was born December 27, 1964 in Guilford County to the late Nathaniel Brown and Bertha Glenn Brown.

A Life Well Spent: Delray was educated in the public schools of Guilford County. During his years as a student, he participated and excelled in football and wrestling in both Middle and High School. He graduated from Page High School in 1983. DelRay went on to obtain his certification in Diesel Mechanics from Guilford Technical Community College (GTCC).

Sunset: Delray entered eternal rest on Thursday, January 13, 2022. He was preceded in death by his father Nathaniel Brown; mother Bertha Glenn Brown; siblings Lavola Brown Carter, Olin Eugene Brown, Robin Sauls, and Natheline Brown; nephew Elton LaShun Brown; great niece Ty’Quasa Renee Whitaker; and special sister-in-law Wanda Kay Davis.

Those Who Remain: Left to cherish his memory is Rodney E. Brown (Shelia); a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins; and numerous other individuals in the community. A special acknowledgement to Quentin White and Danielle White which he raised as his children.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. with a Visitation prior starting at 12:30 P.M. on Monday, January 24, 2022 at Triad Cremation & Funeral Service 2110 Servomation Road Greensboro, NC 27407 and the burial to follow at Lakeview Memorial Park 3600 N Ohenry Blvd Greensboro, NC 27405. Repast will be held at Barber Park Even Center 1502 Barber Park Drive Greensboro, NC 27401 after the burial.
