Dear Billy

You were my closest "brother" when I was exchange student as graduate. As you remember, we had a grest time at Long Beach NC in McMillan's beach house. I stayed one month in each home, but in Seawell,s welcoming family, I stayed two months including Christmas. We shared common interest in music, and you opened the world of The Drifters to me, with music I still enjoy 50 years later. Neighter you nor I were good letter writers, so we didn't have much contact after my Greensboro year. Your mother, Virginia, however visited me twice during my student years in Trondheim. And she got aquainted with my mother, who visited Virginie and her family, including you in the late 60ies.

Later, much later, when Internet was invented and distributed, I looked you up, and sent e-mails to your business address. No answer made me think that your spam filter was effective. Until I got the message around one year ago, that you died i cancer 2007.

I hope you read this anyway, Billy, and join me in good thoughts about our time as brothers in 64-65. Your friend always: Per Arne
