I met Helen in 7th Grade at Lindley Jr high School in 1959 having just moved from Munich, Germany to Greensboro, North Carolina. She and I became long time friends and were co-workers at Mr. Gas's summer camp. I will alwasy have a place in my merory of our friendship and times together either in the classroom at LJHS or GHS.
Helen and I met at Lindley Jr Hight when we were in 8th grade. We became fast friends, once did a skit at Lindley and when rehearsing the piano on stage fell somehow, and landed on my right ankle, wasn't hurt too bad but we both laughed for days about that. She was the best and will be missed dearly.
I first met Helen in the sixth grade at Lindley Elementary. She had quite the wit and was forever saying or doing something to make me laugh. I thought she a genuine and sincere person. As I saw her occasionally over our adult years, she still made the ordinary humorous. What a gift--the ability to make others laugh. What a blessing to those who were fortunate enough to have known her. RIP.
