Sallie was born in Thomasville Ga on Sept 6, 1943.  She moved to Greenville in 1956, where she later graduated from GHS (with us).  She then attended MSCW before graduating from Miss State University with a general studies degree.  She then returned to Greenville, signed on as a rookie reporter for the Delta Democrat Times.  She spent the next 43 years with the newspaper and retired in 2009.

She was a member of St. James Episcopal Church in Greenville.  Sallie also served on the Board of Greater Greenville Habitat for Humanity. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Benny Gresham.

She is survived by her son Frank Gresham of Lady Lake, Fla. and her daughter, Morgan G. Pohl of St. Petersburg, Fla., two grandchildren, a brother Wallace (Skip) Neblett III of Nashville, Tenn. and a sister Kathleen Shapley of Jackson.
