In Memory

Diane Karr (Wasson)

Diane died of cancer after our 20th reunion. We remember her as a smiler.

Her smile was the sweetest thing about her. Her caring heart and genuine joy in our reunions. I remember how I enyied her hair, and her talent. She lives on in our memories with love and affection. Lara

Diane was an excellent typist, and she helped me keep up during our Office Practice class. We were using electric typewriters, and it seemed to me that I could just breathe on the thing, and I had another mistake. Once when the teacher was out of class, Diane put all her fingers at one time on the keyboard. It jammed and made a strange noise just as the teacher returned.

Diane lived "down the alley" behind the house we lived in on Starling Street.(She lived on Cannon Street.) I usually woke up early and wanted to find someone to play with and would head down the alley and knock on the Karr's back door - very early and ask if Diane could come out and play. They probably wanted to kill me when I woke them up. I also remember getting Diane to "hide" her candy in a certain spot when she had to leave to go somewhere - Then I went to that spot and "stole" her candy. My Bad!
