I was sad to hear that Linda had passed away but happy to discover that her son, Buddy, is a member and deacon at my church. What a small world we live in. I knew Buddy was from Greenville and we had talked a couple of times about the changes in Greenville but not until I read the memorial about Linda did I realize that the two were related. I know as a mother, Linda, would be happy that her son and family are actively serving the Lord. It is a pleasure to call Linda a friend .

Linda's grandmother used to take us to school. She would tell us as she started to pull out onto the street, "Ya'll help me watch and tell me when it's clear." We started announcing, loudly, "Scratch off, Opal." Funny what we remember. I will remember her smile. Lara
