What have I been doing since 1964? Studying! Fiirst I went to college, then graduate school, and since then I have been teaching Spanish. I was in Seville, Spain from 1975 to 1982, getting to witness the transition from dictatorship to democracy. Returning to the States in the summer of 1982, I accepted a job at the University of Arkansas. In 1988, I married Chris Huggard, a fellow academic (he teaches history at a nearby community college). We live in a house built in 1895, which has kept me busy when I haven't been teaching and writing (I'm currently finishing my sixth book). I love to make jewelry. That's my one and only hobby.
