David was born on December 18th, 1949 in Starkville, Mississippi to Horace Evans Henry and Annie Sue Seitz Henry. He was a graduate of Greenville High School and Delta State University. He worked with his father and four brothers at Henry Construction from 1971 until he retired in 2017, in many roles including serving as President of Henry Construction. He married the love of his life, Cheryl Purdue, April 22, 1975, and resided in Greenville, MS until relocating to Lake Village, AR in 2017. David and Cheryl were and are especially proud of their sons, Jason and Hunter, and their three grandchildren and fourth granddaughter on the way.

David thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his family most of all. His warm smile was contagious. He had a deep love for God, his family, many nieces, nephews, and friends and was very much loved and adored by his family. His sisters often refferred to him as their "fun" brother, who loved music, dancing and practical jokes. He rarely missed a Big Henry Family gathering, and he thoroughly enjoyed Rotary Club, and his Men's Adventure Group. His nieces and nephews often commented on his genuine interest in their lives and his kindness. He will be deeply missed by many, and his memory will always be cherished.

David was preceded in death by his father, Horace Evans Henry, his mother, Annie Sue Seitz Henry, and his brother, William (Bill) Stennis Henry.
