WAYSIDE — Funeral services for Hilton Roy Stokes Jr., 68, of Wayside, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Mortimer-Greenlawn Funeral Home, Leland. He died with his family by his side Monday, Dec. 28, 2015, at Delta Regional Medical Center, Greenville. Services are under the direction of Mortimer-Greenlawn Funeral Home, Leland.

He was a Vietnam War veteran as well as a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion and 40 & 8. He is the former owner of Delta Auto Sales. Hilton was employed as an assistant funeral director, Mississippi licensed burial, life insurance agent and certified cremationist at Mortimer Funeral Home for more than 31 years, and he will be greatly missed by the Mortimer family. Hilton served as deputy coroner for Washington County several times over the past 31 years.
