Charles Oswalt

Life Legacy

Devoted husband, father and grandfather, Charles Keith Oswalt, 65, of Hot Springs, passed away October 23, 2014. He was born on October 31, 1948 in Eupora, Mississippi to the late Charles and Hilda Oswalt, and was preceded in death by his sister, Pauline Hoffman. Charles was the CFO and Assistant Administrator of Levi Hospital for 18 years.
Charles will be remembered as a devoted, caring husband to Debbie, the love of his life. Many would say their marriage was what true love looked like! He was adored by his four children and ten grandchildren who filled his home and heart with love and laughter. He was everything to his family.
Affectionately known as a Mastermind Technical Genius (“MMTG”) by his children and grandchildren, there was nothing he could not fix or build. He tirelessly and generously shared his talents… from building homes and installing swimming pools to constructing go carts and water slides for the grandchildren.
Charles was a gentle soul and had the ability to be a lamb when needed or a lion when the situation called for it. He was well known as a respected, generous man who took great joy in doing for others.
Loving survivors include his wife of 31 years, Debbie Oswalt, sons, Jeremy (Ann) Odom and Brandon Oswalt, daughters, Emily (Kyle) Way and Heather (Chris) Pearson, brother, Wayne Oswalt, and sister, Nadine Franklin. The light of his life were his grandchildren: Gage Montgomery, Landon Way, Houston Way, Livi Way, Cooper Pearson, Ace Oswalt, Charley Oswalt, Kaiden Oswalt, Ella Way, Lilly Pearson, and baby Odom, due in January.
Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, October 27, 2014. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., October 28, 2014 at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home, Hot Springs, AR with Pastor Sam Ault and Darrell Elkin officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens, Hot Springs.
