Suzanne Davis Miller

November 4, 1942 - August 18, 2018

Suzanne Davis Miller of Dallas, TX passed away August 19, 2018 after a brief illness. Her family was by her side when she left this life to be with her Lord. She was born to Nila Mae Taylor Davis and Robert W. Davis on November 4, 1942 in Long Beach, CA. Suzanne spent her early years in Dallas, TX before moving to Greenville, TX where she graduated from Greenville High School in 1960. In 1960, Suzanne entered Abilene Christian College where she studied and graduated with a degree in secondary education. During her college years, she met her husband Todd and she made many lifelong friends. They married in 1964 and were blessed with four children - Todd Davis, Steven, Chris and Melanie who she dearly loved. But her greatest joy was being "Gammi" to her eleven grandchildren whom she simply adored. She was an incredible wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend to so many. For all who knew Suzanne, she was not only known for her beautiful blue eyes and smile, but even more for her pure, authentic heart. She was kind and loving to everyone she met. She was a charter member of Prestoncrest Church of Christ where she served with Christ-like compassion over many generations. She helped lead the Ladies Class program, taught children bible classes, and mentored young couples and young women in the Apples of Gold program. Suzanne also served as a foster parent for new-born babies through Christian Works for Children. Suzanne is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Curtis Todd Miller of Dallas. She is also survived by her son Steven and his wife Christy and their three children Cameron, Emily and Reese of Plano; son Chris and his wife Carrie and their three children Jordan, Katie and Samuel of Dallas; daughter Melanie Christian and her husband Rusty and their four children Lindsay, Lane, Caden and Jarrod of Fort Worth; and daughter-in-law Heather Miller Ashby of Dallas and her son Tanner Miller of Norman, OK, the family of Todd Davis Miller. She is preceded in death by her son, Todd Davis Miller, her parents Robert W. and Nila Mae Davis, and brother, Robert W. Davis, Jr. Suzanne had many close friends and numerous family members that blessed her throughout her life. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 2pm at Prestoncrest Church of Christ. The family will receive friends in the reception hall immediately after the service. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Restland Funeral Home in Dallas, TX. Donations in Suzanne's memory can be made to Christian Works for Children.
