Jeanne Nichols

Jeanne Nichols

November 12, 1941 - February 9, 2015

Born on November 12, 1941 and rose to her heavenly home on February 9, 2015.
Jeanne graduated from Greenville High School and attended East Texas University at Commerce, Texas.
In her early career she was employed by Raytheon in an administrative position.  In the early 70's she moved to New York City to join her sister.  Jeanne pursued a career with Hilton Hotels Corporation rising to Director of Sales of the Statler Hilton Hotel in Dallas and was then transferred to the Corporate offices where she helped design and implement a computer based sales program.  In this position she literally travelled the world introducing and training sales departments on its usage. At age 50 she retired, only to find she missed her work.  She represented Hampton Hotels before finally retiring 4 years ago.

Jeanne was a lover of good jazz, classical piano and the arts.  She had  a passion for travel and she and Joanne had some amazing times and loved nothing better than a "road trip" touring most of the United States.  She was an accomplished pianist much to the delight of her family and friends who enjoyed her music.  Jeanne's other passion was gardening and doggies!  She had two rescue girls that adored her as much as she did them.  Ms Quinn and Buttercup will miss her sweet smile and generous heart.

Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents DW and Oleta Nichols.  She is survived by her sisters Joanne Nichols and Janice Child and Nephews Russell, Edward and Darren Child along with a host of friends who will miss her sense of humor, laugh and generosity.

Jeanne was a member of the Strawberry River Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and Magna Charta Dames.
