Barbara Evelyn (Turner) Bolton

HAUGHTON (LA): A memorial service to celebrate the life of Barbara Evelyn (Turner) Bolton will be held at 1000-hrs CDT on 11 SEP 2013 at the Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home in Haughton (LA). The Rev. Billy Pierce will officiate.

Barbara was born on 16 SEP 1942 in Enid (OK) to Ernest and Evelyn (Mitchell) Turner. Her dad was a career USAF officer with service in WWII, Korea and Vietnam. Barbara and her family lived in number of domestic and international locations during her early life.

Barbara attended schools in number of countries as well as domestically. She graduated high school in the greater Houston (TX) area; she graduated University of Houston with a BA in History. Barbara worked over thirty years in the Shreveport (LA) area as a Placement Specialist with Jean Simpson Personnel Services.

Barbara was married to Otho G. Bolton. They had daughter, Amanda Owens that preceded Barbara in death. Barbara was divorced at the time of her death. Barbara’s parents preceded her in death, and they are buried at Fort Gibson National Cemetery at Muskogee (OK). Her survivors include: grand-daughter, Lauren and Jennifer Owens; sister, Marsha Turner; niece, Laurel; and numerous extended family and friends.

Barbara was cremated at her family request.
