Dawsonville, GA - Judith Lynn ( Simpkins) Morey, 54 of Dawsonville died February 6, 2005, at her residence following an extended illness. A memorial service is scheduled at 3 p.m. today at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel in Dawsonville, GA., with Dr. Ed Hill officiating.
A native of Texas, she had lived in Dawson County for five years, having moved from Blaine, Washington. She was a business administrator for various businesses.
Surviving are her husband, Dave Morey; children Stephanie Morey and David Morey jr., both of Dawsonville Ga.; her parents, Leon and Paula Simpkins of Corpus Christi; three sisters, Kathy Dunahoo of Austin, Robin Brand of Corpus Chriti and Amy Davidson of Dawsonville, Ga.; a brother, Kenny Simpkins of Ashville, N.C.; and other family in the Greenville area.

Judy was a beautiful, sweet person. We were neighbors when we were in grade school. I remember when my dad died, I went straight to her house.I can still remember her contagious laugh and sweet smile. Judy died from breast cancer February 6, 2005. She, Shannon, and Mary Bryant were the main reason that I chose to walk in the Breast Cancer 3-day last November. Pray for a cure!
