Welcome GHS 1958 Alumni!!

Are you a graduate of Greenwich High School (Connecicut) from 1958?  Aha!  You've found the right place to be.  Welcome aboard.

This website has been created to serve as a meeting place for those who graduated GHS in 1958.  There are no fees associated with the website and personal information about members is kept confidential.  Take a few minutes to check us out.

The key to this website is the database of all GHS 1958 graduates.  All names have been (or are in the process of being) entered in the database and the website.  If you were in the 1958 graduating class your name is in the data base.  You can check it out by clicking on the JOIN HERE link in the upper right of this page.  You will then find a listing of all 1958 graduates.  Find your name and click on it.  Your name will then appear and you will be instructed to click here now.   You will then have a chance to add information about yourself - or to update information that has already been entered (from the 50th Anniversary program).

That's all there is to it!  You then have full access to the website - you can send private messages to others in the 1958 class, access password protected pages, you can help update the website by sending an automated invitation to friends you continue to be in touch with, automatically link to your Facebook page, you can post announcements, start dialogues/discussions, and so much more.  Enjoy!

If you have a problem/question about the website, please send an email to Joe Levine (  I'll try to help.

Looking forward to seeing many old friends here on our website.

All the best -

Joe Levine

36 Strong and Growing!

Hi Everyone -

Well, after a quick 2 months we now have 36 classmates registered here on our website.  Hopefully it will continue to grow.  I wanted to take a minute to share a couple of thoughts -

1) I realize that computers and the Internet aren't everyone's strong area.  However, I think you are finding that the design of this website is quite easy to use.  And, most importantly - there's really nothing that you will do that will cause our website to self-destruct.  So...take time to do some exploring.  Try posting a photo of yourself, sending a message to a friend, updating your profile.  And, if you get stuck - send me an email and I'll try and help (

2) Some of you are very cautious about signing up for a website like this, fearing that your own computer or email system may be compromised.  I've been administering websites operated by ClassCreator (the group that is responsible for the framework of our website) for the past 7 years and I have been very impressed with the protections they have built into their system.  The only people that have full access to our information are our own alumni who have registered.  Email addresses are always protected and I've yet to find a virus lurking in the shadows.

3) What's the catch?  The only catch to our use of the website are the ads that appear.  It's the way ClassCreator is able to generate revenue.  Of course, for a fee, they will disable the ads.  I don't find the ads very disruptive and have opted to use their system for free.  And the thing I like the most - they do NOT use our email addresses for any other purposes!  You will not get junk email as a result of registering for our website.  Thank you ClassCreator!

4) Since creating the website in mid-February I've had a great time re-connecting with so many old friends from the past.  Getting a glimpse of the unique life journey many of you have taken has been a real eye opener.  And, it's so easy to re-connect!  Just send someone a Message.  They will receive a notification that your message is waiting for them on the website (and all they have to do is click on a link that is provided).  On the left side bar click on "Message Center".  Then  click on "Compose Message".  You will be asked to enter a first or last name of the person you're wanting to contact.  Then just click on their name and you're off and running.  When you're finished writing your message click on "Send Message".  That's all there is to it!  (If you're still a bit worried about blowing something up, just send me a message.  I'll respond back to you so you can see how the system works.)

4) Your help in recruiting more former classmates to our website would be most appreciated.  Click on  "Missing Classmates" (at the top of the page) to see whose name is there (and there are a lot of names!).  See someone you are still in touch with?  Click on their name and then follow the prompts to send them an email.  You don't know their email address?  Print a copy of the email invitation and send it to them via the U S Mail.

5) And finally, some statistics - a total of 842 website visits have been recorded during the first two months.  Yes, there are 36 who have registered for the website - but 253 who have yet to register.  And, the busiest day so far was May 9, 2018 when 19 of you checked the website!

See you online!

All the best -

Joe (

Your Help is Needed (May 2, 2018)

The invitation to join our website (using addresses from  the 50th Anniversary program) went out on March 19th.  As of today (May 2) a total of 34 have been returned as "Not Deliverable as Addressed".  That's not surpirsing for a 10 year old mailing list.

Here are the 34 names whose US Mail address no longer works.  Do you know one or more of these classmates?  Do you have a current US Mail address for any of them? If so, please send it along to Joe Levine ( and he will resend the website invitation.  If you have an email address for one of these missing alums it's even easier - just click on their name (Classmate Profiles) and it will lead you through a simple procedure for sending them a pre-written email.  Your help is most appreciated!

Thanks to Harriet (Hoover) Yobage, Sigi (Wikse) Bray, Rosemary Carbino, and  Judy (Nolan) Briggs for helping to track down addresses and information about some of our classmates.  Your help is most appreciated!

In order to ensure you receive important messages from our class web site, as well as messages sent directly to you from other classmates, it's important you whitelist the email address (that's a .net, not a .com).

What is whitelisting? Whitelisting simply means you are telling your email program to accept all emails coming from our class web site and our classmates. The technique for whitelisting varies by email program, but generally you will see the term "Whitelist", "Safe List", or "Safe Sender's List". This is where you want to be sure you have added the email address

Class Creator, the system that helps us operate our class web site, uses the address when sending out email messages. Be assured that all emails sent through our site are valid — you will not receive spam email. Whitelisting is the single most important thing you can do to ensure you don't miss anything happening on our site or miss receiving your emails from fellow classmates.

Stop and take a moment to whitelist right now, and ensure you stay connected!

Update - March 23, 2018

Data for all 331 GHS 1958 alumni have now been added to the website.  If you graduated from GHS in 1958 your name should be in the database!

A mailing to all known postal addresses went out a few days ago and we're starting to get more alums registering.  To see who has joined, click on Classmate Profiles at the top of this page..  Each person with a checkmark following their name has joined.

You can really help!  If you know the email address of an alum, click on his/her name and follow the prompts to send them an invitation to join.

To send a Private Message to someone who has joined our website, click on their name and then click on  "Send Xxxxxx a private message."  They will receive your private message via our website.  Your email address will not be displayed.
