Good friend Gary was to me, his father tutored both of us through algerbra class in 9th grade. Funny how that worked out as I was so lost in that math but ended up taking another algebra class at Westark during the summer after our graduation. Took the math entry exam at Arkansas Tech before I started my Music Degree, the result of the exam allowed me entry to college level calculas and I was like, "Yeah ok I don't think so!" and knew that level of math wasnt require for a Music degree. Though Hind sight 20/20 I wish I had at least entertained the idea of taking that course due to the fact the US Navy showed me the joys of being a Engineer and wanted to pursue that line of work...either way if it wasn't for those tutor sessions with Gary's father concerning higher level math, I would have never known what it means, anything is possible.

Gary and I both served in the US Navy however, he went surface and I went submarines didnt realize this till I came home on leave and saw him during my visit and he had informed me as we both were like, "What are you...wait seriously?"

Gary was a good soul, pushed me out of my shyness always telling me, "Who cares what everyone thinks, just be you Ryan!"
