Stanley K. Lehto, 64, a resident of Ripley, unexpectedly passed away at his home on May 1, 2009. He was born on August 12, 1944, in Hancock, a son of the late Waino and Elizabeth (Kulppi) Lehto. Stan had resided for a short time in Mass City as a child, but for over the past 63 years had made his home in Ripley. Mr. Lehto had worked as a clerk and mail carrier for the U. S. Postal Service in Hancock, retiring in 1993. Stan enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and spending time at the camp in the Huron Mountains. Preceding him in death were his parents and a brother Douglas Lehto. Surviving are: his nephews: Mike (Tammy) Lehto of Felch, MI and Keith (Debbie) Lehto of Glendora, CA; his niece: Debbie (Pat) Milligan of Foster City, MI; his great-nieces &-nephews Kevin Lehto, Emily Lehto, Kyle Lehto, and Tyler Lehto; his great-step-nephew Jamie (Jessica) Neumann; his sister-in-law: Beverly Lehto of Redridge; and several cousins.  Burial took place in the Forest Hill Cemetery of Houghton.
