We have tragically lost one of our dear classmates. Mike Arens was a person that was easily loved  by so many. He was funny, charming, and an all around great person. Our hearts go to Mary, Samantha, Lauren, and the family. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers through this difficult time.

 

Michael A. Arens

Michael A. Arens, age 38, of Columbus Township, passed away April 10, 2009, at St. John Hospital, Detroit. He was born March 18, 1971, in Mount Clemens. On May 4, 1996, he was united in marriage with Mary, in Mount Clemens. Michael owned Arens Trucking and Construction. He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles. He enjoyed farming, camping, hunting, and fishing. He is survived by his wife Mary; daughters, Samantha and Lauren; parents, Clement and Anneliese Arens of Chesterfield Township; sister, Deborah (John) Demick of Chesterfield Township; father- and mother-in-law Howard and Helen Scheer of Roscommon; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Howard Scheer of West Bloomfield, Patricia (Darrin) Hagel of Chesterfield and Kathy (Scott) Fast of Macomb Township. He was predeceased by one sister, Karen. Funeral Service at Holy Family Church, 79780 Main St., Memphis, on Tuesday, April 14, at 9 a.m., Rev. Joseph Horn officiating. Burial at St. Peter Cemetery, Clinton Township. Visitation 2:30-9 p.m. on Monday, with rosary at 8 p.m. at Gendernalik Funeral Home, 35259 23-Mile Road, New Baltimore, and Tuesday April 14 at the church from 8:30 a.m. until time of service. Memorial contributions to the American Heart Association.
