Good to hear from you Jeff and thanks for taking the lead along with Jeff, Rich, Erick and Tom in putting our reunion together this year.

I am so pleased with the school's initiative to recognize the life and contribution that George Smith made to Haverford in breaking the "color barrier" at Haverford and braving the sea of whiteness that was Haverford of those days! I am especially thankful to the effort that has been made to have George's friend, Wendell Holland, to attend our Saturday evening to share the story of George's life after Haverford.  And I impressed - and challenged! - by Jeff P's extremely generous offer to match our contributions to the George Smith Scholarship Fund up to $10,000!

I will definitely be there to see all of you again who can make it and to celebrate the life of George who gave us a window into a world that few of us had any understanding of and to bridge the racial gap which persists to this day in some many ways.

I just wanted to post a huge THANK-YOU to the reunion planning committee and especially to Marsha and Jeff Perelman for offering their lovely home as our gathering place for the 45th - it certainly was the most memorable event.

What a splendid time as we enjoyed those amazing appitizers and delicious dinner. Walking along the slate trail down to the bottom of the hill was superb exercise before dinner, too.

We certainly enjoyed talking with the fellow classmates to catch up on recent adventures. The after-dinner celebration for George Smith was most satisfying. Thanks, also,  to the School 'champions' for taking time out to visit with us and keep us up to date.
