Haverford High School
Class of 1964

Last Updated 8 January 2021

We are all receiving requests to contribute to various charitable organizations at this time
of the year. Here is one more, but a very important one that will give you great satisfaction
knowing that it will help students currently graduating from our Alma Mater. Many of you
have contributed to the Juenger Fund in the past, and the Class of 1962 made contributions from
the surplus money following the 50th and 55th Reunions.  The Juenger Fund was established in
2001 in memory of Stephen M. Juenger, coach, teacher, and role model to Haverford students for
55 years!
HHS 62's own Tom Juenger, Al Kaemmerlen (HHS58 and Captain of HHS State
Championship team in 1958), and a number of graduates and admirers of Coach Juenger created
the Fund. Since 2001, scholarships totaling $153,250 have been awarded to graduating seniors.
Four $5000 scholarships were granted this past spring, two for athletics and two for service and
citizenship.  Please consider sending a contribution so that today's HHS grads have the same
opportunities we enjoyed back in 1963.  Donations should be made out to the Philadelphia
Foundation
and mailed to the Philadelphia Foundation (designated in the check memo for the
Juenger Fund) at PO Box 826728, Philadelphia, PA 19182.  Questions can be sent to Tom
Juenger at juengertp@comcast.net or Bill King (webmaster) HHS62 at wnking@ptd.net
. Thank you.

Announcements at Bottom

Your Class Officer, Susan Finlay Rubin and the Reunion Committee hope you had a great time at our 50th Reunion on September 13th. Please register on this new website for our class, so you can have access to other classmates and they can see what you've been doing for the last 50 years. You can post photos, memories and much more. How? Find your name in Classmate Profiles on the left. "follow the bouncing ball" of instructions there.  Fill in your details. Once you've registered, you'll have access to all areas of the site.  Without registering you have no access to classmate information and very little other access.  If you need help, grab your kid, your grandkid, any kid under 40! What does it cost? It's free for classmates, and it's only for classmates, teachers or invited guests to communicate and share information with other classmates - and it is secure; no email addresses are shown, yet you can contact any classmate registered, and you have complete control over what you share with other classmates. Since it is secure, we encourage you to let others know your thoughts and memories - much more to come.  The more you provide, the more others will also share with you.

Take a few minutes to review "First time Visitors" on the left and further down under "Member Functions" review "Notify Me" so YOU are in control of how often you wish to be notified about changes and updates from various classmates or ALL classmates.

PS - Not all Yearbook photos are uploaded - we are getting to them

PPS - Many MALE classmates are duplicating their last name for their married name - unless John Smith is now John Smith (Smith) it hasn't changed ;-)  How to fix your error? Click on EDIT CONTACT INFO on the left side and you're good to go - don't forget to scroll down and SAVE Changes at the bottom
