Gregory Lauersen

Gregory Richard Lauersen, age 24, of Hawley, died tragically in an automobile accident on Sunday, December 3, 2006. Born in Port Jervis on March 12, 1982, he was the son of Kenneth and Marilyn Lauersen.

Gregg graduated from Wallenpaupack Area High School. During his attendance he belonged to the Golf, Baseball and Ice Hockey Teams. Following high school, Gregg attended Keystone College and was awarded Golf All-State Honors during the 2001/2002 season.

Gregg was a landscaper for MG Total Lawn Care in Hawley. Additionally, he participated in many activities such as skiing, snowboarding, four-wheeling, hunting, fishing and boating. Gregg was named President of the Redneck Yacht Club of Lake Wallenpaupack in 2006.

Gregg was blessed with an amazing athletic ability, caring heart and infectious smile. He was a joy to be around and truly touched everyone he met. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Gregg is survived by his parents, Ken and Marilyn Lauersen; brothers, Michael and Nicholas Lauersen; sisters-in-law, Kristi and Lori Lauersen; nephew, Joseph Lauersen; best friend and soul mate, Allison Harris; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Calling hours will be Thursday, December 7, from 6 to 9PM at Teeters East Chapel, 505 Church St., Hawley. There will be a Funeral Service on Friday, December 8, at 10:00AM at Blooming Grove Baptist Church, Route 402/I-84 in Blooming Grove with Pastor Doug Rhine officiating. Burial will be at the Rowland Cemetery following the service.
