When I read the message from Judy (Ruiz) Verhoek about Doreen McMillen living in Hawaii, I wrote to Doreen telling her how excited I am for her and asked her what island she is living on. I told her that in April 2016 we also purchased a condo in Kona Hawaii that my Father-in-law had owned from 1975-2004! When he was 90 years old and had trouble climbing the 3 flights of stairs, he sold it to a nice man in Oregon who remodeled it beautifully and allowed us to rent it for the last 12 years. Then when he decided to sell it, he allowed us to buy it back into the Family! We love it there because it is right on the water, you can watch the dolphins, kayakers, parasailors go right past the lanai! And with it being only 1.25 miles into town, we take that walk every morning before breakfast! LisaNC21@aol.com Also, for those of you who had Mrs. James as a Teacher at Hayward High, I received a wonderful Christmas card from her: she is still going strong at 85, playing tennis ~ 3 times/week! I hope we can all be that active and healthy later in our "Mature Years"!
