One idea for the date to get together for our reunion is the weekend of the Jubilee. I know a lot of other reunions occur during that time...I think it's usually in August (first to mid).

I agree with the reunion date, but the problem with that is the Hereford Chamber decided to move it to July during the fourth, or that is the way they have done it for the past two years and it has not gone over very well at all, so Toby Hill is suposed to be checking on that for us, but I have not have heard anything new at this time.

The only problem I see with Homecoming weekend is that people coming from out of town that have school-age kids would have to take their kids out of school. That's why I thought maybe sometime in the summer might be better.

First off, thanks Shea, Laura, Susan, and others who are organizing things.

I don't have a strong preference on the date. The Homecoming idea would get my vote, but I don't have kids' schedules to worry about. So I don't have many conflicts. The only other downside I can see for homecoming is if it is late in the football season. If it is near the end of the season, then you could have a problem with long distance travelers staying away, because Thanksgiving is right around the corner. It probably would not be a problem unless homecoming is in November, though.

Anyway, I plan to go whenever it is. About the only problem I would have is a work conflict, and that is out of my control. The chance of that is slim, anyway.

Cheers.

Sheli Guthrie Mercante

Hello again-its Sheli in Tucson.I may or maynot be able to make it to reunion. Just found out my daughter Sabrina is graduating on July 2nd; plus finances are not looking good around that time. Keep your fingers crossed and maybe I can at least make it for Saturday. As if that wasnt enough, my fiances' health has taken a downward spiral-he has so many drs appts, pending surgery etc. Ya'll should consider a 3 or 5 year reunion in future--we're not getting any younger! This would provide more opportunities to see each other instead of once every 10 years!! Robin is the only 1 I have seen since 11th grade. Too bad my dad left my mom &I had to take my senior year in Amarillo. I miss u guys!!! Plus im curious to see how everyone turned out, who married whom etc. Well there's my two cents. Later, Sheli (guthrie) Mercante

$100 sounds fine. I would like to thank everyone involved in organizing the reunion. Anything I can do to help, just say the word...actually just type the word. P.S. Who's bringin the beer?

Thanks everyone for your support, We will get this all figured out eventually. I was just running some numbers and I think $75 per couple and $50 for single is probably going to be sufficent. I hope! I hope to eventually set a pay pal account so we can pay that way. Just keep watching the site.

Thanks again to Toby and all the others who helped put this together. I enjoyed catching up with so many of my classmates. We agreed to have a 25 year reunion. Here's hoping that happens and that we have even more folks there.
