I think this loss hit me the hardest of all! Cathy's house was my house in middle school. I was there more than home and loved every minute of it. Her sister was the big sister I never had and taught Cathy and I all the things we weren't supposed to do or know she was just so cool! Cathy was probably the most independent self-assured young teen I had/have ever seen or known and when I went to our 20th reunion and we sat together for a while all those memories came flooding back just as they did when I saw she had passed away a year ago!
I had the pleasure of seeing Cathie before her death. We went for Japanese ffod for lunch. Afterwards we went back to her house to visit. We had a nice visit. We talked about her cancer and how it had come back after so many years. I loved her laugh it was so genuine. I still hear it in my head to this day. I was shocked when Roy called and told me she had died. Marsha was with her at the end. Her son got married the night of our 40th reunion.I miss her terribly and as it did to you it really hit me hard. She was the sweetest woman I knew. take care, Vivie
