During Senior year I spent a lot of time with John: He was a very smart guy - creative and funny in an ironic way.
He was good friends with Rick Lesser, Paul Chapman and and Steve Spencer (?).and together they were always planning something. There was a "capture the flag game" that encompassed half of Highland Park. There were even colored arm bands for the 2 teams. My team had to wear red armbands which came out Pink because I had never dyed anything before.
As a group, John and the guys spent much of the year planning a road trip to Alaska. Now that I look back I think that the planning was more fun than the actual trip. The trip actually took place but I can't remeber if John was in the van.
