I loved Joanne as a person and a friend.  I hadn't been in touch with her in years and just discovered she had passed.  I think my tears tell me how much I cherished her.  She brought a lot of light and joy to the world.  May she rest in peace.

Hello Chuck and All,

Joanne was a wonderful person, and an old friend as well.

It is terribly sad that we have lost so many friends, and so pleased that you and the rest of us remember our old companions.

Your very, old friend,

Pam Alexandroff

I've been out of touch with classmates for many years and stumbled onto this site today.  I remember Joanne as a kind and caring person and although I didn't run in her circles my interactions with her always felt soothing/healing and I feel the loss at her passing. . . .

So sorry to hear about the passing of Joanne.  She was such a special person.  Although we were not friendly in high school, we became fast friends at Northwestern University.  Joanne always had a smile on her face and was a true friend.  I am so sad.

Although we weren't close, we I do have some great memories of this beautiful woman. We were in AP History together with a teacher who always wanted to tell us about Stonehenge.  Joanne and I wasted a long evening together at her parent's house creating a detailed paper mache version of Stonehenge...not for extra credit, just for laughs.

I also rememer her as the Chorus Line director for Stunts, when Eve Letvin and I were directing.  She was a tireless advocate for the kids in her charge, challenging us to change the schedule to minimize their time wasted waiting for their number.  I also remember her "Thousands of Chickens" totally kicking ass.  What a loss.
