Susan Kay Jackson (Walleske) - Class Of 1966

OBITUARY FROM POST-TRIBUNE, JULY 14, 2006:

Susan Kay (nee Jackson) Walleske, age 57 years, of DeMotte, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, July 12, 2006 at the University of Illinois Medical Center. She was born on September 25, 1948 in Hobart, Indiana to the late Florence (nee Rossow) and the late Jesse Jackson. Susan attended Hobart High School and graduated in the Class of 1966. On December 3, 1966, she married Elwood "Woody" Walleske, who survives. Susan was a Bus Driver for the KV School Corporation for 21 years. She was also a member of Faith Lutheran Church of DeMotte, IN. and the Trinity Lutheran Church of Hobart, IN., and attended Trinity Lutheran School.

Susan Walleske is survived by her husband, Elwood "Woody" Walleske; daughters, Kimberly R. Parson and Kelly A. Postma, both of DeMotte, IN; son, Kenneth "K.C." Walleske of DeMotte, IN., her two sisters, Marian (Don) Cary of Florida and Sharon (John) Gast of Valparaiso, IN; and grandchildren, Michael Jacob and Ryan.

The family will receive friends on Friday, July 14, 2006 from 2:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Jackson Funeral Service, 200 Third Street SW, DeMotte, IN. 46310. The Funeral Services will be held at Faith Lutheran Church in DeMotte, IN. on Saturday, July 15, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Jared Raebel officiating. Interment will follow at the DeMotte Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the DeMotte Food Pantry. Marian Jackson (Cary) (1961)

My sister, Susan Jackson Walleske, died of a cerebral hemorrhage on July 12, 2007.  Married 40 yrs. to Elwood (Woody) Walleske, mother of 3, grandmother of 2 grandsons.   Sister of Marian Jackson Cary & Sharon Jackson Gast.  She is missed more than words can ever decribe!
