James C. Pocialik passed away during April of 2002 in Lake Station, Indiana. He was 53 years old at the time of his passing and was a member of the St. Francis Xavier Parish.

I was sorry to learn that my classmate and friend has passed away. Jim was fondly nicknamed (Pooch) by his childhood friends while we were all in grade school and it just kinda "stuck". My memories of Jim are warm ones that recall him as a loyal friend and a fierce competitor in everything. Although small in physical stature "Pooch" possessed the competitive demeanor of a warrior and the heart of a Giant.
"Pooch" was simply indomitable as a competitor and didn't let his small physique keep him from playing sports and even trying out for the basketball teams at HJHS and HHS. Unfortunately Jim didn't make those teams he loved so much but so typical of Jim found other positive ways to support them. I'll never forget "Pooch". He was a Great guy!
