OBITUARY FROM NW INDIANA TIMES, OCTOBER 4, 2011:
James T. Henry, age 73, of Portage, previously of Overland Park, KS and Concord, CA, passed away Monday, September 19, 2011. James was a graduate of Hobart High School, Class of 1956. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and had worked extensively in retail men's clothing sales over the years. He was a former member of the "Chorus of the Dunes" barbershop chorus and was an avid lifelong Hobart Brickies football fan.
James is survived by his daughters: Jean (Eric) Allen, of Gilbert, AZ, and Mary Pat Henry of Mesa, AZ; three grandchildren: Justin Jay, Michael Self, and Alyssa Graham, of Arizona; and his three nephews: William (Tricia) Tokash of Downers Grove, IL, Thomas (Amy) Tokash of Indianapolis, IN and Robert (Cyndee) Tokash of Portage. He was preceded in death by his father, James F. Henry; his mother, Betty Henry; and his sister, Sharon L. Tokash. He will be fondly remembered by his remaining family and his dear and close friends Jim and Connie Lough, of Hobart.
There will be a memorial service honoring James' life at Augustana Lutheran Church at 207 N Kelly St. in Hobart on Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at 5:00 PM with Rev. Charles R.
