Vivian Herring (Earles) - Class Of 1952

Vivian L. Earles, 78, died Thursday, June 28, 2012, at her home in Angola. She was born December 29, 1933, in Gary, Ind., to William and Inez (Swisher) Herring. She worked at Shultz’s Department Store in Angola, then at SPX in Angola before retiring in 2000. She and her husband moved to New Mexico in 2001 for 10 years, returning to the Angola area in 2011. Vivian married James Earles in 1953 in Hobart, Ind., and he passed away on Sept. 11, 2009.
 
She is survived by three sons and a daughter, Jack L. Earles of Elkhart, James L. Earles of Ohio, Jerry L. Earles of New Carlisle and Dawn (Troy) Boman of Butler; three grandchildren, Shaun (Liz) Austin, Lynn (Josh) Engles, and Libby (CJ) Kilgus; and six great-grandchildren, Elijiah, Ava and Alaina Engles, Haley Jade Austin and Ellie and Chloe Kilgus. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, Bill Earles; a grandson, James “Jimmy” Earles; and a sister, Norma Owen.
 
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 875 S. Wayne St,, Waterloo, Ind. The family will receive friends for 1 hour prior to the service from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home. She will be buried beside her husband at a later date in Circle Hill Cemetery in Angola. Memorials can be directed to Cameron Memorial Hospice.
