Patricia Tafel of Mount Prospect

Visitation for Patricia Tafel (nee Tarkelly), will be from 1 to 7 p.m. Sunday, at Friedrichs Funeral Home, 320 W. Central Road (at Northwest Highway), Mount Prospect, where the funeral will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, before going to St. Emily Church for Mass at 10 a.m. Interment will be in All Saints Cemetery.

Born April 23, 1934, in Gary, Ind., she passed away Feb. 13, 2011, at Sunrise Assisted Living in Lawrenceville, Ga. Patricia was a graduate of Hobart High School, Hobart, Ind., Class of 1952. Her interests were playing cards, Bunco, dancing, country music and family. She was a diehard Cubs fan.

She was the beloved wife of the late Richard Tafel; loving mother of Cindy (Mike) Puckett, Kelly (Shelia) Street, Erick (Kelly) Tafel and the late Frank Street; devoted grandmother of Jose, Dan, Carlos, Travis, Jessica, Jonny, Hannah, Haley, Chloe and Lee; cherished great-grandmother of Austin, Timmy, Jackson and Kayla; and dear sister of Barbara Fasel, Phyllis (Hal) Erickson, the late Don Tarkelly and the late Melvin Tarkelly.
