Smith, Ronald D. "Ron" Ron entered into the peace and joy of Eternal Life on October 29, 2013, at the age of 78. We know he is greeted and celebrating with God, Jesus, his son Scott; his parents, Ralph and Hazel; his sister, Carol Ann; his dog, Mugsy and all of his loved ones that have preceded him in death. Ron is loved and will be greatly missed by his wife Elaine (nee Tomocik). Loving father of Chris (Jim) Tews, Greg (Ellen), and Jodi. Dear grandfather of Tim, Lizzy, Steve, and Sam. Dear brother of Myrna (the late Al) Zinkovich and Sharon (Ken) Wheeler.

We know that many others hearts weep for the loss of their brother, uncle, and friend. Ron's family would like to offer their truest gratitude for the compassionate care from the nurses in the St. Luke's SICU and the 12th floor patient tower, and to our many friends for their support and prayers. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Wisconsin Humane Society or the American Cancer Society are appreciated. Private services will be held at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
