OBITUARY FROM NW INDIANA TIMES, MARCH 19, 2009:

Frances E. Ketchum, age 61, of Portage passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2009. Frannie attended Hobart High School and was a Nurse's Aide and worked in Home Health Care. She formerly managed Cressmoor Country Club in Hobart.

Frannie was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert E. Shaw; her parents John and Eleanor Daniels; and her brothers: William and John Daniels, Jr. Frannie is survived by her husband, William Ketchum of Portage; two daughters: Donna (Edward) Dame of Valparaiso and Kelly (Matthew) Sargent of Alexandria, VA; one son, Robert Shaw, Jr. of Portage; five grandchildren: Ryan (Katrina) Dame, Jessica Dame, Matthew R. Sargent, Elizabeth (Joey) Lozano and Jennifer Sargent; two great-grandchildren: Kieran Dame and Olivia Lozano; brother Donald (Sandi) Daniels of Portage; sister, Sue Bergman of Michigan City; and numerous extended family.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 21, 2009 atBurns Funeral Home, 701 E. 7th Street, Hobart, IN. Burial at Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. www.burnsfuneral.com
