Jerry Marler - Class Of 1966

OBITUARY FROM THE OTT HAVERSTOCK (MICHIGAN CITY, IN) WEBSITE:

Jerry L. Marler, 64, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Friday, August 24, 2012 at 2:10 p.m. in his home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, IN with the Rev. James Foster, CSC officiating.  Cremation will follow services. Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. Monday and 9:00 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel.  

He was born February 10, 1948 in Hobart, Indiana to  Jack and Jackie (Cuthbert) Marler.  On December 6, 1974 in Michigan City, IN he married Sharon Yagelski who survives in Michigan City, IN. Also surviving are a son, Jeffrey (Sarah) Marler of South Bend, IN; grandson, Evan John Marler of South Bend, IN; father and step-mother, Jack and Jeannie Marler of Portage, IN;  2 sisters, Debbie (Wayne) Stauffer of Houston, TX and Peggy (Joe) Stowers of Valparaiso, IN; and 2 step-sisters, Sharon (Steve) Eicher of Holland, MI and Debi (Mark) Sibray of Valparaiso, IN. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jackie Marler; sister, Cheryl Rose: and in-laws, Helen and John Yagelski.

He was a engineer at  NIPSCO, a 1970 graduate of Purdue University and a member of Elk's Lodge #432.
