OBITUARY FROM BANKS & BRUST FUNERAL HOME (SULLIVAN, INDIANA), SEPTEMBER 2013:

Janet L. Christy, 59, of Farmersburg, IN, passed away at 9:30 PM Friday, September 6, 2013 at  Kindred Southwood  Traditional Care in Terre Haute.

She was born in Sullivan, Indiana, December 11, 1953 the daughter of James A. Scarbrough and Lafawn Alumbaugh Scarbrough.

Janet was preceded in death by her father, her husband Michael Christy in 1986, and a brother, Keith Scarbrough. Survivors include her mother, Lafawn Scarbrough of Farmersburg, IN, a daughter, Tina Monser (Blake) of Fairbanks, IN, two step sons, Mike Christy (Amy) of Sullivan, IN, Todd Christy (Amy) of Minnesota, two brothers, Scott Scarbrough of Farmersburg, IN, John Scarbrough (Debbie) of Portage, IN, a sister, Peggie Breneman (John) of Paris, Il, two grandchildren, Carter, and Colton Monser, seven step grandchildren, Keelie, Tristan, Trenton, Cody, Chad, Kelli, and Michael, a nephew, Jason Scarbrough.

Funeral services will be at 1:00PM Tuesday September 10, 2013 at Banks and Brust Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Indian Prairie Cemetery. Friends may call from 11:00 AM until services Tuesday.
