I attended Western Michigan University from 1993-1998 and received a Bachelors in Education, with a major in French and a minor in Political Science. I studied for 3 months in Lyon, France. I have been teaching French & Government at Portland High School in Portland (MI) since 1998. I have been fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to take students to Europe 3 times so far.
I have coached the JV Girls Tennis team since 1999 and also coached Freshmen & JV Volleyball for 9 years. I received my Masters in Education for Curriculum & Teaching in 2003. I recently started studying American Sign Language in order to possibly seek certification to teach it in the near future.
