Selma Williams

HOPE--Selma Rae Williams, 49, of Hope, died October 12, 2004, in Springhill, La. She was born August 23, 1955, in Camden. She was preceded in death by her father, Herman Williams, Sr. and her sister, Shirley Ruth.

Survivors include her mother, Bamer I. Williams; four daughters, DeShannon Williams, of Springhill, La., Kenyadia Williams and Marquice Williams, both of Hope, and Shamettra Dimmer, of Ruston, La.; one son, Marqueze Williams, of Hope; three stepchildren, four grandchildren; 10 step grandchildren; five brothers, Herman Williams, Jr.and Billy Williams, both of Hope, Curtis Williams of Chidester, Calvin Williams, of Washington, D.C, Ronnie Williams, of Fort Worth, Texas and Lee Herman Williams of Camden, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, October 16, at Washington Temple C.O.G.I.C. in Hope. Burial willbe at Tate Bluff Cemetery in Chidester. Visitation will be from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Wake is from 5-6 p.m. at the funeral home. Hicks Funeral Home, Inc. in Hope is in charge of arrangements.
