Jerry Walker was my best friend. We did everything together. He was the most versatile athlete we had in school. He was even-handed and the workhorse of our basketball team for like three years. He was like the brother that I never had. I was stationed in Germany when he died.

Jerry was a great person. He had a wonderful sense of humor. I remember when Sandra Ross, Gordon Welch, Jerry and I went to SAU for college day. We all laughed so hard during that trip. I'll never forget those lasting memories.

Jerry was a close friend or mine. I will always remember his football & basketball talent. Our families were very close. I will never forget the day of his funeral we were all so sad. He is greatly missed. He has a son who looks just like him.

Jerry was my neighbor, and our family were relatives. I can remember the last words he said to me. I was on my lunch break, expecting my child. "Don't eat too much" and I can still see the smile on his face and those words til this day and that was 1986, the year my daughter was born. The year he passed away.

My (cousin) my best male friend,I remember kicking it with Jerry from the time we discovered we were related which was way back in elementary school. Our journey continued throughout High School. After graduating we continued hanging out going to parties and doing what the undecisive do.Jerry always had an easy smile and was always down to drive to wherever. We shared so many laughs together with each other and at each other,Their was also a serious side to him, His quiet demeanor which was his charm was seldom wasted on anyone who got to know him.I moved away and always kept in touch with him.He was my confidant he kept plenty of my secrets as I did his.It saddened me to here of his passing.Jerry I know you are up there smiling down on us and I miss you.

Jerry was one of the best atheletes @ Hope High! He had the natural talent. More importantly, he had a great attitude and people respected him highly. I remembered how good he listened and how humble he was. If I am not mistaken, I ran into one of his relatives...Johnny Walker and we talked for about an hour one evening...the famous Little Rock Civil Rights attorney...if I remember correctly, they were related (correct me if I am wrong mates) and I think I mentioned Jerry's name to him.
