Neal O. Weigel, age 67, of Elmira, passed away unexpectedly at home, April 30, 2016. He was born on Nov. 26, 1948 in Bethlehem, PA. to the late Alwin and Otha Weigel. He attended Corning CC graduated from Ohio State Univ. with an MA in International Relations and Economics. Survived by daughter, Laura Weigel of VA., sister in law, Debra Weigel of Elmira, brother Noel Weigel of Elmira, nephews Rawn Weigel, Jr. of SC and Jon Weigel of Elmira, niece, Megan Weigel of Elmira, best friend, Peter Clark of CT and former spouse Martha Hage of VA. His parents and brother, Rawn Weigel, Sr., prececeased him. Services will be May 4, 2016 at Carpenter's Funeral Home, Corning, NY. Full obituary in Star Gazette, May 3rd.

Very sorry to learn of the death of Neal. I have such fond memories of him as a really great person. He was taken way too early! This makes you appreciate life and to live it fully every day!

Sorry to hear of Neal's passing. The Weigel's were neighbors in Big Flats so I'm also sorry to hear of Rawn's passing. My prayers are with the family.
