Known to close friends as "Pete", his death while serving our country in Viet Nam had a profound impact upon me. I visit the Viet Nam Memorial in Washington often in his memory. WWB

I remember Pete very well..He lived in Millport with us..what I remember the most about him and his brother was how nice they were..Always smiling and had good words for everyone..Just special, pleasant people..I was devastated when I heard of his death..I thought, "such a shame..He was one of the good guys"  and it didn't seem fair..I really missed him.. Then about that time, We also lost my best friend, Mary Dehaas who also lived in Millport..She was walking home on the main road one night  & was hit by a hit & run driver..That was not a good time in Millport .  We lost 2 really special people..
